Xiaomi has become the latest Chinese firm to be added to the Trump Administration’s military blacklist.
The Department of Defense on Thursday added nine more companies to its list of alleged Chinese military companies, including Xiaomi, which recently overtook Apple to become the world’s third largest phone maker.
However, the military blacklist is different from the Commerce Department’s so-called ‘Entity List’, which famously banned Huawei and other Chinese firms from dealing with U.S. suppliers over national security concerns.
